What you're buying
Paying puts your name on a public board and gives you a title. You are not purchasing goods, entering a contest, placing a bet, hiring anyone, or buying a chance to win money or anything of value.
We may cover the network fee for your payment as a courtesy. That is at our discretion, limited, and can stop at any time without notice; if it does, your wallet will ask you to pay the network fee (typically under a cent) and nothing else changes.
No refunds
All payments are final and non-refundable in every case, including if your name is removed for violating these Terms or if you change your mind. Payments are recorded on a public blockchain and cannot be reversed by anyone, including us.
If you pay with Apple Pay (US debit card), Coinbase, Inc. processes that purchase as a separate transaction between you and Coinbase under Coinbase's Guest Checkout Terms, User Agreement and Privacy Policy, with Coinbase's fee added on top. Coinbase converts your payment to USDC and sends it to Bet You Won't LLC on the Base blockchain. We never see your card details and cannot refund, reverse or dispute that purchase; chargebacks or disputes are handled by Coinbase under its terms. Coinbase requires a verified US cell number and email and applies its own limits; those are Coinbase's rules. Once USDC reaches us, it is final.
Where the money goes
100% of every payment is revenue of Bet You Won't LLC. No part is paid to any other user or third party. A "throne campaign" credits a name on the board; the named person receives no money.
Titles and badges
Titles, badges, ranks and the throne are bragging rights with no monetary value. Boards are scored as follows: the Today, This week and Month boards start over on a schedule (daily at midnight, Monday at midnight, and the 1st of the month at midnight, Mountain Time) and use a time-decayed score in which each payment loses half its weight every seven days on the Today and This week boards and every thirty days on the Month board; the Lifetime board counts every payment at face value and never resets. Each board displays its own title, computed from the payments on that board. Throne campaign scores decay in the same way and count toward the current week only; a campaign page's history (who started it, lifetime amounts) is retained. The throne is the top position on the This week board; a reign ends when another person takes the throne, not when a board resets. Certain badges are awarded to the top position when a board's period ends and are counted each time they are earned. Badges, once earned, are not removed by resets or decay. We may change scoring, titles, badges and boards at any time.
Names, dares and campaigns
You may only dare or start a campaign for someone you have a personal relationship with, and never to harass. We remove names that impersonate others, slurs, or anything illegal. Removal is not a refund. The named person may claim or decline their page; declining hides their links only.
Eligibility and law
18+ only. Colorado law governs; disputes go to Colorado courts; class actions are waived. Our total liability is the lesser of your most recent payment or $10. Contact: legal@bet-you-wont.com.
